In the wake of the shooting in Pittsburgh, I am ever more conscious of how important it is for us to respond to acts of hatred by helping our children feel pride in their Jewish identities and teaching them to bring more light into the world.
I hope you will join us for this important gathering in advance of Hanukkah and help spread the word through your friends and your kids' school networks. Ask your child to invite a friend who would like to know more about what it means to be Jewish. Everyone is welcome.
This event will explore the theme of light and we'll make our own sets of locally sourced, earth friendly beeswax candles for Hanukkah. In this free, family-centered workshop, we'll explore what it means to bring light into the world and what it is about bee’s wax that makes it a great choice for dipping our very own candles. We'll enjoy a free pizza dinner after the activity. RSVP to Rabbi Jarah Greenfield at rabbiJgreenfield@gmail.com.
With blessings of peace,
